Hardman Australia has a well equipped laboratory at its
Seven Hills manufacturing site. Capabilities include the following:
- Accurate measurement of turbidity, colour and UV/visible absorbance
- Accurate titrimetric determination of metals, specialising in zinc and
aluminium (in the presence and absence of other metals)
- Accurate titrimetric determination of chlorides, sulphates
and basicity of aluminium salts
- Determination of trace metals by atomic absorption spectrophotometry
- Jar testing for optimisation of coagulant performance using a programmable
6-way gang stirrer
Technical assistance available from Hardman in the areas
of drinking water treatment, wastewater and process water applications includes:
- Advice on recommended chemical treatment as well as preparation, dosing
and control equipment systems
- Assessment of the potential to minimise treatment costs by modification of
current practice or better procedures in the existing plant
- Advice on the removal capability with different water treatment equipment
including flotation, clarification and sludge de-watering systems, and
evaluations to determine appropriate chemical treatment for particular
equipment types. Hardman has portable test equipment for the following water
